Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your Want account and the personal data associated with it at any time.
Delete from the app
- Open Want and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Settings (top-right).
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
Request by email
If you can't access the app, email support@want.watch from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify and process the request.
Delete specific data without deleting your account
You don't have to delete your whole account to remove individual data:
- Delete your reviews, comments, and ratings directly from the title where you posted them.
- Remove titles from your collections and want list, or reset watch progress, in the app.
- Or email support@want.watch with the subject "Delete my data", describing what you want removed; we will verify and process it.
These changes are applied promptly. Your account stays active and only the data you choose is removed, except where retention is required by law.
What gets deleted
- Your account and login identities (email, Google, Apple).
- Your profile, ratings, reviews, comments, collections, follows, and watch progress.
Timing
Deletion is processed promptly and typically completed within 30 days. Some information may be retained only where required by law.
